San Diego Musical Theatre (SDMT) is excited to announce The Prom as the second production of its 2025 season. Performances will run from May 2 through June 1, 2025, at the SDMT Stage in Kearny Mesa, with a press opening on Saturday, May 3.
Telling the heartfelt story of a young Indiana high schooler determined to take her girlfriend to prom, The Prom takes a hilarious and heartwarming turn when four eccentric Broadway stars descend on her small town. Combining humor, dazzling music, and a powerful message of resilience and acceptance, The Prom captures the timeless spirit of musical theatre and speaks to today’s audiences more than ever.
